Belvès, Dordogne

Belves is the hometown of my grade school pen-pal François Rocherie. Its about 300 km southwest of St. Amand. François has moved to Bordeaux, but we went to the office of the Mairie (town hall) and through them found an address for his mother. We visited with her while we were there and got to see pictures of François and his daughter. We stayed at the Hotel Belvedere where the food was excellant. The whole town was absolutely charming.
