Chateaux
Cher has its share of staggeringly beautiful Chateaux and Catherdrals. We only toured a couple of them. but we must have driven or walked past a dozen others. I asked at Chateau Meillant if there was any record of the US Army staying there during World War I. At first the guide said they hadn't stayed there, but I told him about Gramp's letters and he said that well maybe, but they didn't stay long. Which is true, the war ended pretty quickly after Gramp's division arrived.
